I started writing about men’s fashion fifteen years ago. I was one of the first bloggers in the space back in 2009, after being named “Best-Dressed Real Man in America” by Esquire magazine.

Back then I wrote raw, unfiltered, sometimes intimate details about my journey from NCAA basketball player to menswear insider and everything I learned along the way; attending design school in NYC, apprenticing for a bespoke tailor, creating a brand, sitting front row at fashion shows, interviewing unique characters in the menswear industry, etc.

The method to monetize this writing (ie. “sponsored content”), however, was absolutely soul sucking. I couldn’t do “brought to you by Kenneth Cole” with a gun to my head. So I took what I learned in tailoring and design and transitioned my blog into an online tailor shop (now known as Articles of Style) which showcases the bespoke wardrobe packages I design for customers all over the world.

Now that AOS has found its own voice, I’ve been seeking a new space to share more raw, unfiltered material. The stories I want to tell and the editorials I want to write - not tied to a particular product or a brand.
