What's the difference between the "Signature" and "Essential" garments?

The Signature collecton is our bread & butter and represents the highest quality clothing available online. These garments are handmade in our 3rd generation New York tailor shop to the highest possible quality and include our exclusive bespoke fitting process. We offer a wide range of fabrics - including fabrics from the most luxurious mills in the world - and a full suite of customization options. Think of our Signature collection like American Savile Row - online.

Do you make clothing for women?

Absolutely we do! Check out our women's section for examples.

A note about ”women's": 

At Articles of Style we do not have a "women's" or "men's" section. Any customer - regardless of shape, size or gender - can order any garment from our signature (bespoke) collection. We will draft your pattern and create your try-on garment based on the physical profile you fill out in your AOS account, and perform your bespoke fitting while taking into account your personal preferences. Every client is different and we are proud to serve a wide range of people across the spectrum of gender.

How does sizing work?

Essential Collection, Outerwear, Shackets, Polos, Tees, Sweats & Sweaters : Review the size chart on the product page and choose your size.

Signature Collection: Create your AOS account and fill out your physical profile. Our tailors will review this information and create a custom-made “fitting garment” for your bespoke fitting. For more information check out our how it works page.

What's the delivery time?

Sweaters, Polos, Tees & Accessories: 3-5 business days.

Essential Collection, Outerwear & Shackets: 6-8 weeks on average. Some garments are slightly faster (4-6 weeks) and some are slightly slower (8-10 weeks). See the individual product pages for more info.

Signature Collection: 12-14 weeks for new customers. 8-10 weeks for repeat customers. These garments are fully handmade and bespoke fit - it takes time to make this level of quality.

Leather bags: 7-9 Weeks.

What is your return policy?

Essential Collection, Outerwear, Shackets, Knitwear & Accessories: If you are not satisfied with your item, you can return it. Items must be returned within 14 days of delivery and be in new, unworn, unwashed and unaltered condition. Since these items are made-to-order, returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee. Please note we do not cover the cost of return shipping. For international orders we do not credit the original cost of shipping. Before processing any returns, please contact us.

Signature Collection: Signature collection garments can only be returned after the entire fitting process has been completed - including final alterations and post-alterations fit review. If you are still not satisfied with the garment after the completed process, you can return it. Items must be returned within 30 days of delivery and be in new, unworn and unwashed condition. Since these garments are bespoke, we must deduct the cost of your custom try-on garment(s) as well as the cost of the fabric cut for your final garment(s) from the amount of your refund. Please note we do not cover the cost of return shipping. For international orders we do not credit the original cost of shipping, customs or duties. Before processing any returns, please contact us.

Do you have a physical location?

No. We operate exclusively online and have shipped to customers in more than 30 countries around the world.

Can I get fabric samples?


You can order physical samples of any of our fabrics here.

Do you have more fabrics to choose form?

As a matter of fact, we do. 

Through our partnership with Gladson fabrics, we can now offer their entire range of fabrics for you to choose from - which includes more than 10,000 styles covering just about every category of menswear.

Will Dan visit me in person?

Dan does occassionally travel and do in-person wardrobe upgrades.

A minimum order of a 10-sleeve wardrobe package is required.

What are your shipping rates?

Free shipping in USA. International shipping rates calculated at checkout.

What is your alterations policy?

Essential Collection, Polos & Tees, Sweats & Sweaters: No alterations reimbursement.

Signature collection: When your final signature garment arrives it should be fully adjusted for you and fit like a glove. If additional adjustments are required, our tailors will review the fit of the garment and provide suggestions to adjust it with your local tailor. Simply email us a photo of the receipt from your local tailor and we will reimburse you for the cost of the alterations in store credit which you can use off your next order. We will also update your fit on file with these additional adjustments, for seamless re-ordering. Please note alterations must be completed within 60 days of the garment being delivered.

What is your cancellation policy?

Essential Collection, Polos & Tees, Sweats, Sweaters, Bags & Leather Good: Items that are canceled before delivery are subject to a 20% restocking fee, which will come off of your refund. Before deciding to cancel any items, please contact us.

Signature Collection: Signature collection items that are canceled before delivery (or before completing the entire fitting process - including final alterations, and post-alterations fit review) will be refunded minus the costs of your custom try-on garment(s) and the fabrics that have been cut for your final garment(s). Before deciding to cancel any items, please contact us.

Do I need to return my try-on garment?

Nope. Your try-on garments are custom made for you, and yours to keep.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes we ship worldwide.

Shipping rates are calculated at checkout.

Please note import duties and customs fees vary by country and are the responsibility of the customer. We cannot control the import taxes charged by your country.

I’m big & tall, do you have a maximum size you can fit?

Absolutely not.  We can fit all shapes and sizes.

Can I gift AoS to a friend?

Of course!

Because we work one-on-one with each customer, the AOS gift card is the best way to gift the AOS product and experience.
