I don’t understand why people get on Alex’s case. I love his look today. And yes, “business casual creative” is a “thing”!

  • http://thekacar.com Mustafa

Alex doing his thing. My vote goes to him!

  • Johann

Alex today, I think Dans suit could take a little pressing. *cough*

  • Poofy

    How is Dan not winning???

Is it because he didnt mention J Cole?

  • Steve

I love hats and Wes has the best of the group today, you get my vote! Hey hats, great topic for your site…..

  • http://www.perfectgentlemansa.blogspot.com Mxolisi

I went with Townsend simply because of the suit and the reference. TSB turned an epic corner with that post. And it will always be the GOAT post in my opinion. That post really started the avalanche. Much respect.

Best believe I’m going to that link just to view that post one mo’gin.

  • http://undefined Thomas

Towni. I want that suit :)

  • James Cuneo

Towni, colour of belt and shoes don’t match, but beautiful suit.

  • http://undefined Adrian

Well done, Alex! A look I intend to imitate.

  • Kevin T.

Is there a Rick Owens option for What I Trolled Today?

  • Gazman

Inspired by the no-break-on-pants look I had one of mine hemmed up. Put them on, felt silly all day. Felt like a school boy whose parents could not be bothered to buy me new pants. Reverted back to the half-break. experiment cost $35, oh well. I think you need to be tall to pull of the no-break pants. BTW, my vote in WIWT goes to Wes.

  • Ali

    Dan wins for the outfit.
Wes wins for the Cole reference.

  • http://themodernprep.wordpress.com Marshall Mulherin

    Dan’s shirt is fuckin awesome.
So is the J. Cole reference from Wes

  • Rich

Bossy suit Towni – my vote is with you.

    A bit disappointed today guys..

    • Rich

On second glance i take back my disappointed comment.

  • http://reubeningber.com Reuben

Loving Alex’s outfit. Where are the pants from? I’ve been looking for a pair of nice tailored cargos.

  • Calvin

I gotta give this one to Wes solely off the fact that he referenced J Cole in his description lol

    • http://www.tsbmen.com Westley Dimagiba

can’t wait for June 18th man

  • Alex

Wore the same thing as alex today at the office so he gets my vote

  • Mr Saint

    Hey all,

Is anyone else thinking Rick Owens should treat us to some stylish outfits beautifully photographed outside ‘candidly’?

As is he such an expert and effusive with his criticism I am sure it won’t be a problem.

Keep up the good works guys.

    Mr Saint

    • Rick Owens

It doesn’t even have to be “candid”, just when the guys are shot they have very stiff and artificial in their pose. Dan the least of so, but the rest could have a more authentic feel to it.

  • Lewis W

Never posted before, but I wanted to put up some kind of wall against the hate. I’ve been a long time reader of the blog, and in my opinion the site gets better every post. Each new feature, from WIWT to Street Style to Garment Doctor is exactly what I wanted to read without me even knowing it. However, by far the most impressive thing about the team is that for five guys who share an office (and a wardrobe) your personal style is clear in each of your looks and features. Alex’s workwear aesthetic, Towni’s prep roots, Dan’s modern dandy, Wes’s streetsmart tailoring and Jon’s everyman appeal (which I mean in no way as a slight)are all a fantastic and continuing inspiration.

Thanks for the great site guys. Keep it up.

  • Rick Owens

My previous post was deleted because I wasn’t praising this travesty.

Dan, I read your original TheStyleBloggger.blogspot.com, and most of your outfits were good. Now that you have brought new people on, you’ve lowered the bar. I’m not sure who Alex or John is because I stopped reading after Towni joined, but they are some of the worst outfits I’ve ever seen.

    • http://tsbmen.com Dan Trepanier

My team flagged your previous comment as offensive, which is why it sat in moderation for 17 minutes until I could take a look at it…

My apologies to any readers who have family or friends affected by autism.

“Rick”, I appreciate the long-term support, but I think you’re missing the point of WIWT – which is simply a look at what our team is wearing to the TSB office (not planned, not edited, not styled). Just real and relatable.

4chan? Really? You need to get a life and get off the internet. Right now, your life looks like it mainly consists of shitting on people on the internet. Please reconsider your life.

  • Rick Owens

You all look like autism defined. Straight outta MFA.

That hat is soooo out of place on Towni, the textures in the suit make him look wider than he probably is. It would be more suited for someone very thin.

Wes and John isn’t even really defining anything. It’s so basic I wouldn’t put it on a style blog.

    Dan, >le classy fedora

    Alex…no…just no.

Also do all the poses have to be so unnatural looking. Go outside and take candid shots!!!

    • http://tsbmen.com Dan Trepanier

That’s a very offensive comment, guy.

Either way, thanks for reading and supporting our work.

    • http://tsbmen.com Alex Crawford

I got a MFA in photography from Pratt Institute. Very proud of it. ಠ_ಠ

      • Rick Owens

MFA is a reddit subform where MensWear is taken to a whole new level of awful.

    • Gabriel W

Wow, you seem like a great guy.

    • Rich

      D-bag alert.

    • Tom Brooks

Let’s see you do your thing, and we can pick you apart piece by piece. Style is subjective, and should never be taken so seriously to induce hate, especially from the armchair quarterback position. Now go take a chill pill pronto before that vein explodes. Or just go elsewhere, because ‘men’ of your likes are not welcome here. You’re like a cad towards dudes. Beauty in body always takes a backseat to beauty in behavior. Peace!

      • Tom Brooks

In short, you’re ugly, and I don’t even know what you look like.

  • Ian K

Went with John today. Nice shirt. Where is it from?

  • Chris

John has my vote this time..

  • John

All killing it today. But I’m curious about that tie bar placement, Alex—what’s the idea?

    • Jireh

My guess would be that that is the “creative” part. Also, he has no jacket to hold down the lower part of the tie.

    • http://tsbmen.com Dan Trepanier

It’s actually the most functional placement of a tie bar.

Before us “modern dandies” started wearing them, that was roughly the standard placement.

      • John

        Thanks. Good to know.

  • John

John looks awesome, but that first post made me buy a similar suit! I have to vote for Towni!

  • http://undefined Robert

G*d D*mn, I love that Boss suit….put it in the TSB Museum, lol.

    • http://tsbmen.com Dan Trepanier

      hahaha TSB museum eh?

  • Vaz

Loving the smart casual of John. But my vote goes to Dan this time. Poloshirts on jackets, genius!

  • http://wideeyestightwallets.com Adam

Giving this one to Dan. Just a great combination of pieces. I don’t think I would be a fan of that polo by itself, but it looks great in the mix.

  • Mitko Karshovski

John’s outfit = summer. You should compete more often.

  • Charlotte

    John, effortless style

  • Omar Shaikh

Dan, is that the same Hugo Boss silk jacket you wore in the Esquire contest?

    • http://tsbmen.com Dan Trepanier

Been wearing it for 5+ years.

The beauty of classic menswear, and a case for quality craftsmanship.

  • cam

off the subject but where’s the street style posts alex?

    • http://tsbmen.com Dan Trepanier

      Great question!!!

      • cam

didn’t mean to get you in trouble with the boss alex but I think you do an exceptional job with the street style and would enjoy seeing more

  • CV

Wes takes this one with the casual look, but John’s shirt plays pretty hard. Where’d you find it?

    • John Crossley

      J. Crew Selvedge Chambray Popover from 2 seasons ago. It’s on of my favorite S/S shirts.

      • CV

  • TO

Dan. Wasn’t the biggest fan of that printed polo before, but paired with the sheen of that silk jacket it becomes incendiary. The deep green pants bring it all together for a really uniquely awesome look.

    • Omar Shaikh

Lol, I didn’t even realize the pants were green until you pointed it out haha

    • http://tsbmen.com Dan Trepanier

Good eye brother. The forest green chinos are where its at!

  • Joe

Wes kills this one, you got my vote.

Dan – it looks like you’re about to backhand your imaginary friend (who for some reason is only wearing a hat).

    • http://tsbmen.com Dan Trepanier

hah good imagination. We could use some more of that around here…

      • Joe

Ha – I’ll have my agent get in contact with you ;)

  • Mr Saint

    First vote and comment….

Also my first ever vote for Alex :)

    • http://tsbmen.com Dan Trepanier

The early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese…

      • Joe

        Where’s my cheese dammit!
